Bomb threat leads to Walmart evacuation

Aberdeen Police called for an evacuation of Walmart following reports of a bomb threat at about 6:30 on Sunday night.

The store was evacuated but later reopened after police and Walmart employees found nothing suspicious inside the building, according to a statement from Cpl. Steve Timmons, a spokesman for the department.

About 125 people were evacuated, including employess and customers, said Cpl. Andy Snodgrass of APD. The store was closed for about an hour and a half, he said.

The threat is under investigation.
