An open house gathering for Rick Anderson, The Daily World’s longtime sports editor, is planned for Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Aberdeen Elks Club. The public is invited.
Anderson is retiring as the paper’s sports editor, but will continue on a part-time basis, mostly covering games and writing a column.
He has been with The Daily World for more than 40 years and has been present for some of the most memorable sporting events in the community’s history.
The gathering is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
