A Level 2 sex offender has registered a new address in Hoquiam, the Hoquiam Police Department reported.
Dustin J. Brewer, 22, has registered an address in the 500 block of 3rd Street. He was convicted of third-degree child molestation in Grays Harbor Juvenile Court in 2012.
Law enforcement agencies are authorized under state law to inform the public when a convicted sex offender or kidnapping offender is released from custody or changes addresses. The offenders also are required to register their residence with the Sheriff’s Office in the county where they will be residing.
The police report noted there are more than 19,000 sex or kidnapping offenders currently living in Washington state. Approximately 400 of these are registered to Grays Harbor County addresses. About 50 are registered to addresses within the city limits of Hoquiam.
