A Level 2 kidnapping offender has registered an address in Hoquiam, the Hoquiam Police Department reported.
Kenneth Clayton Jett, 58, has registered an address in the 100 block of Jefferson Street. He was convicted of second-degree kidnapping in Oregon’s Multnomah County Superior Court in 1995.
Law enforcement agencies are authorized under state law to inform the public when a convicted sex offender or kidnapping offender is released from custody or changes addresses. The offenders also are required to register their residence with the Sheriff’s Office in the county where they will be residing.
The police report noted there are more than 19,000 sex or kidnapping offenders currently living in Washington state. Approximately 400 of these are registered to Grays Harbor County addresses. About 51 are registered to addresses within the city limits of Hoquiam.
