A 26-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly using a handgun to threaten a group of people, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.
Just after 5 p.m., the department was notified that a man had pointed a handgun in a threatening manner at a group of individuals at the 300 block of N. Washington St. and that he had then fled the scene in his truck, according to Aberdeen Police Cpl. Darrin King. Officers were soon able to locate the man driving near the scene of the alleged incident, and recovered a handgun from his vehicle.
The man was arrested, and is being interviewed by police for the details surrounding the event, according to King.
