Minister sought for sexual misconduct with children

The Washington State Patrol is looking for help finding a Minnesota man charged with 59 felony counts of criminal sexual misconduct involving two young girls.

Victor Barnard was last known to be in the Spokane area. He’s the subject of a multi-year investigation by the Pine County Sheriff’s Office into his behavior while ministering to a religious group in Northern Pine County, Min., a State Patrol press release said.

A criminal complaint was issued April 11 by the Pine County Attorney’s Office, and a nationwide warrant was issued by the Pine County Sheriff’s Office later that same day.

The State Patrol’s Criminal Investigation Division has been helping in the search for Barnard, along with Homeland Security.

Anyone with information about Barnard or his whereabouts should call State Patrol Detective Ryan Spangler at 509-227-6644 or the Pine County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 320-629-8342.
