Driver rolls car after swerving to miss deer near Oakville

A Centralia man was injured Tuesday morning after the driver of a car he was riding in swerved to miss a deer and rolled on Highway 12 near Oakville, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Jessica Towns, 23, of Elma, reportedly swerved the 2002 Acura RSX she was driving to miss the deer just after 7:30 a.m. four miles west of Oakville. Towns lost control of the vehicle, and it left the road, rolling twice before coming to rest on its top, the State Patrol reported. She and her passenger, 27-year-old Zachary Cline of Centralia, were both wearing seatbelts.

The accident partially blocked the roadway for about an hour, troopers reported.

Towns was uninjured, according to the State Patrol. Cline was taken to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, where he was treated and released, according to a nursing supervisor.
