Mistachkin gets seat on District Court bench

Grays Harbor County commissioners on Monday named Aberdeen attorney David Mistachkin to serve as a Grays Harbor District Court judge.

He was chosen over two other finalists, attorneys Kyle Imler and Andrea Vingo. All three finalists have served as temporary judges in District Court.

Mistachkin takes over for Judge Stephen Brown, who received an appointment last month to the Grays Harbor Superior Court bench following the retirement of Judge Gordon Godfrey.

Mistachkin, who has worked in the offices of Ingram, Zelasko and Goodwin, has been an attorney for 10 years, doing mostly criminal defense work. He and his wife own a small business in Elma.

Mistachkin is a native of Oregon and graduated from Willamette University with a bachelor’s degree in 2000 and received a law degree from Willamette in 2003.
