An Elma woman was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia Thursday night after allegedly setting her house on fire, the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies and firefighters from Grays Harbor Fire District 5 responded to a home located on the 4800 block of State Route 12, south of Elma, at about 6:30 p.m. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly, before the home sustained very much damage. The woman, who has a history of mental illness, wasn’t injured but was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
