Canadian couple treated and released after car T-boned in Aberdeen


A couple from Canada were treated and released at Grays Harbor Community Hospital Tuesday after their rental car was T-boned at West 4th Street and South Park by a minivan driven by Sorn Chum, 60, Aberdeen Police Department and a hospital spokeswoman said.


The accident happened after 9 a.m. A stop sign was broken and hit a a third car, police said.


Driver Claudia Johnston, 48, and husband Richard Johnston, 50, are from Alberta and vacationing in the area.


Chum allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. He was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and causing an accident, Officer Mike Caranto said.
